Rodliz’s Nest

As couple living abroad it has always been a part of our lives to go out and enjoy. We eat out once in a month or whenever I feel lazy preparing for our dinner, Burjuman Center and Al Attar Shopping Mall are the places where we use to go. We often enjoy the food from China Sea Restauarant, Merry Brown and of course from Japenggo where we had our first anniversary together celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary. Hubby likes Filipino food so much that’s why other than those restaurant mentions above we use to eat at Agemono & Kape Korner for their beef stew, beef bone marrow soup & (papaitan). And if we want fresh cooked food we go to Khaleej Center to eat at Chinese Restaurant with their hot pot menu (“shabu shabu”). Those places are just very near to where we stay and we just walk going back. On our way, it’s always been the best time for both of us….walking like innocent couple while watching people and moving cars. Sometimes we would buy ice cream cone and eat it on our way home….nice yeah? 

We do love to go to parks & beaches together with our flatmates and friends. We’ve been to Dream Land, Jebel Hafeet, open beach at Fujairah and Abu Dhabi for our long drive Eid Holiday trip. It’s the time for relaxation and enjoyment after a month long work. It’s a part of our bonding as flatmates sharing one big room. And if we want a short period of enjoyment we prefer to go to the nearest park and beach like Creek Park, Jumeirah Beach Park, Al Mamzar Park & Zabeel Park. We can just go their with taxi or public transport buses. We always love the places

But if there’s some places which is very memorable to us that would be Maribina Falls and Virac Boulevard. It’s where our love story started and served as our dating place. There is this tree at the sea shore of Virac Boulevard which we consider as our witness from all the nights and days that we stayed on that place after attending the mass at the cathedral. Every time we go home its either hubby, me or both of us won’t pass the days without visiting that place and spend a little time looking back the old memories. Then on our last vacation we've liked Sea Breeze Restaurant as our place for tasting the best home cooked food.

Yeah, as in with sentimental value....hehehehe
