Mom is not a good cook, duties at The Sisters of Mary School where I’ve spent my high school days does not include preparation of food/cooking, companies I’ve worked before has their own canteen inside the premises. What do you expect?

But being married with someone who also doesn’t know anything in the kitchen and living in the desert land with no one to depend but yourself, you don’t have any other choice but learn how to cook.

Today I’m going so share with you how I prepare the sautéed shrimp in butter with garlic and green beans and broccoli.

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs shrimp
  • 2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped (fresh or dried)
  • 100g salted butter
  • 6 tbsp garlic (i prefer it with more garlic), minced
  • 1 small sachet of magic sarap
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • green beans and broccoli
Directions

Melt the butter in a pan and heat it up until hot enough to cook the garlic. Add the garlic and cook until the color turns golden brown. Sauté the shrimp, adding more butter mixture as needed. Sprinkle the magic sarap, parsley, ground black pepper, and salt. Add green beans and broccoli, stir for 15 seconds then cook until vegetables are bright green.

Serve with hot jasmine rice.

Oh by the way I’ve learned this recipe from Agemono Karama. We had our seafood dinner buffet during our anniversary and I have requested from the Chef to prepare a sautéed shrimp and mussel in butter with garlic and asked him if he can add brown beech mushrooms, green beans and broccoli which he did. It shouldn’t be combined, choices are sautéed shrimps and mussel or stir fried vegetables with brown beech mushrooms. But anyway he granted my request and the combination of buttered seafood and green beans and brocolli was superb.
