Papaitan or pinapaitan is a stew of goat or ox tripes and innards flavored with bile and sampalok or siling labuyo. It derives its name from "pait" meaning bitter. It is most popular among Ilocanos, who are well-known for maximizing possible food sources for their cuisine, including innards.
I don't know what made hubby decided to have dinner outside yesterday. As far as everything is concern we try not spending so much on anything now a day’s coz we’re really on a tight budget. After not having received my salary on time we we’re on trouble for not paying the rent and my credit cards on time also. We couldn’t even enjoy the Dubai Shopping Festival….
Before we used to eat at Agemono but since we don’t have enough money for expensive restaurant we then ate at Kape Korner. He ordered for papaitan, and barbeque served with rice and cola for our drinks. On his first taste of papaitan, he immediately commented that it was not so tasty compared to what Ate Norie usually prepare for us every time we go to their place.

So i guess it's time for me to learn how to cook papaitan so we don't need to dine out whenever hubby wanted it.
