An anniversary is a time to celebrate the joys of today, the memories of yesterday, and the hopes of tomorrow. ~Author Unknown

Five years ago, we've decided to get married...it was a decision that we made for ourself without the blessings of our parents...i was scheduled to go abroad that time and with the thought of having each other for the rest of our life even if we will be far apart for some years...we then promise to each other that to have and to hold from this day forward; for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part. Now i can't believe that we've reached this stage as married couple whom my friends describes as; sometimes happy, sometimes unhappy married life, some days of arguments & some days of misunderstandings, some days of doubt but still some days of love & caring, and still proud to stand and tell to each other : You're Still the "ONE"!

Well, we didn't have a grand celebration! I dreamed of celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary at Bur Al Arab but due to unstable finances it did not materialize instead we spent almost half of the day cuddling.........went for a hubby's haircut early in the afternoon and have our studio shots at 6-7pm..

super cool
super sweet
formal effect

Then after we had our dinner at Avenue Hotel in Al Rigga compliment of Kuya Chaydup Sherpa.

We went home at 8pm...took Dubai Metro from Al Rigga to Burjuman Center....bought something from Burjuman then go home and sleep...

Hope to have more anniversaries:) Thanks to all our friends for their warmhearted greetings and well wishes:)

Day after tomorrow is our 5th Wedding Anniversary! Other than the plan of having a dinner at a hotel courtesy of our flatmate who work as a Manager in one of the hotel in Al Rigga I have not done the preparation as part of the things I wanted to do on that day. Definitely it will not be a grand celebration but I wanted it to be a memorable one as it marks the first milestone of our anniversaries.

I haven’t bought the dress I wanted to wear for the pictorial (studio shots). I’ve seen one at Khaleej Center but it is very costly (AED 350.00) for a one day event. If I can’t find similar to that at a cheaper price I might just check on the market for a blue sleeveless tops like this one...anyway hubby will just wear a light blue polo shirt.

but how I wish I can find something like this..

I haven't printed all the photos I wanted to put on a photo album and I haven't even gathered all of it. The photos which I'm going to send for print out was the photos we have from the day we got married. Though I'm sure it will just follow...I'm still searching for a wooden photo album. I wish someone can suggest to where I can buy it.

I don't have the itinerary yet (as if we’re having a grand celebration yeah?! Hehehe). No! I was just thinking what to do first. Attend the Mass in the morning or in the afternoon. Have the studio shots before dinner or after. What’s for breakfast? Prepare something unusual at home or have it at Ikea (it’s not something really sweet for a breakfast on wedding anniversary but I just thought of bringing hubby there coz he hasn’t tried it). After breakfast go for a swimming at Al Mamzar beach park (pool) or metro trip maybe (from Rashidiya to Jebel Ali)…what do you think? Or take 8A going to Marina Walk..hehehe…don’t know which is which…let’s see what will gonna happen…

A gift? I don't think I would buy something for Pangit...and I'm sure he isn't thinking of giving me either. The wooden chuvaness which is the symbol of 5th wedding anniversay is enough i guess...

Our status having a complicated married life is turning 5 years in 12 days from now. Well, I think there's no such thing as "perfect married life" that's why I call it "complicated married life"...added to the fact that we really have a complicated married life when it comes to dealing with our own families. It’s quite a long story to share so I’ll leave it for couple’s corner meme…hope we’ll soon share about our relationships with our inlaws…hehehe

So yeah, we’ll celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary soon and I am planning a very simple celebration for the two of us but if the budget is not so tight maybe we’ll have a little party at home together with our flatmates and friends.

5th anniversary is the first of the milestone anniversaries and it is symbolized by wood. So now I am thinking of a traditional anniversary gift like a wood photo album, wood picture frame or a wood jewelry box. I hope I can find a company who is selling wooden products like photo album with of course our names engraved on it. Wish me luck coz as for the moment I can’t find any online.

Looks informal my bestfriend says but if i have the chance to get married at the church i would love this color for my wedding gown or if not for my first 3 brides maid...i still hope...Even we are already married by civil rites i still dream to walk in the aisle going to the altar to be blessed by the sacrament of Matrimony. I guess it's every woman's dream anyway.

So for the couples out there who are planning to get married soon....i'd like to suggest Shop of Brides for your wedding gown.

Feeling so depress, 3 years back i dreamed for this this day to be my church wedding day. I thought w/in the span of 2 - 3 years we could save and prepare for it. Though we're already married legally i still dream of walking in the aisle. I'd like to see myself wearing that white dress and to have those photographs that will remain as our remembrance. And of course I want our marriage be blessed under the Sacrament of Matrimony.

Today may not be a dream come true i hope we could still have another time.
